The Grand Tasting will showcase over 125 phenomenal producers of Pinot Noir. Consumers will be able to sample wines from every important domestic Pinot Noir region, from Russian River Valley to Santa Lucia Highlands, from Oregon to Carneros, from Anderson Valley to Sonoma Coast and of coures Sta. Rita Hills. Come to Barker Hangar to taste the highly acclaimed wines, and talk with the gifted winemakers who created these beautiful wines. Local specialty food purveyors will serve delectables that pair well with Pinot.

The World of Pinot Noir (WOPN) brings Pinot Noir producers from the most exceptional and unique regions in the world together with Pinot Noir enthusiasts for a weekend of celebration and education at the edge of California's beautiful Central Coast. Many of our members will be showcasing the beautiful Pinot’s from the SRH at WOPN’s Grand Tastings by the Sea at The Cliffs Resort in Shell Beach, Seaside Fête on Avila Beach, Dine-Arounds at local central coast restaurants and even Pinot-influenced hiking, kayaking and golfing! This year we’ll be heading east to the bucolic grounds of “The Carranza” on the outskirts of Los Olivos. The 100+ members of the Santa Barbara County Vintners’ Association (including many from Sta. Rita Hills!) will be pouring their latest wines, accompanied by tasty treats from our culinary colleagues throughout the county. Two live and lively bands will fill the air with music, and a silent auction will benefit local charities. Cargasacchi Join us at the winery as we anticipate the 2012 vintage during Vintners’ Festival weekend! We'll have all of our current wines available for tasting, and we just might pull out a few from the library. Come hear what Peter predicts for the 2012 growing season and vintage.
