Many of our member wineries welcome visitors to their tasting rooms or wineries; many have set hours that they are open to the public and others taste by appointment only. Over the Summer Solstice weekend of June 21-22, 2008, the Sta. Rita Hills Winegrowers Alliance enjoyed your company in an exploration of the appellation at 2008 Open House Weekend. This year, we opened the doors and gates to our wineries and vineyards to provide an in-depth and close-up look at our unique growing region. The weekend included Open Houses, a gala reception and morning vineyard walks for those who wished to see the appellation from the ground up. Optional events included a Golf outing, Winegrower dinners and other special events hosted by Alliance members.
