Many of our member wineries welcome visitors to their tasting rooms or wineries; many have set hours that they are open to the public and others taste by appointment only. You may also find many members of the Sta. Rita Hills Winegrowers Alliance at regional tastings, so please stop by their table, have a taste of fine Sta. Rita Hills wine and say hello!

Get On Track With Alma Rosa Winery And Hitching Post Wines!  Sold Out

Enjoy tasting Sta. Rita Hills wines, presented by the winemakers, as you roll down the rails on The Sliver Splendor Vintage Rail Car, drinking in exquisite vistas of our Central Coast countryside. The train route includes spectacular views of the legendary surfing beaches of Hollister and Cojo-Jalama ranches, the massive rocket launch towers of Vandenberg Air Force Base, marine, avian and terrestrial wildlife and much more. Far from Highway 101, we’ll travel along the historic trails etched by the Spanish expeditions led by Portola and Anza in the 1700s.
You will also have the opportunity to order wines from these producers for shipment or pickup after the trip.
Our tour will depart at approximately 11:45 a.m. from the Santa Barbara Amtrak station (arrive at 11:15 pick up your tickets, please) with a short stop (60 minutes) at the San Luis Obispo Amtrak station. The train will arrive back in Santa Barbara at approximately 7:00 p.m. Bring your own snacks to enjoy with wines that will be provided by our wineries.
